Price range analysis is the process of screening stocks to select those that have sufficient volatility and/or movement in a reasonably predictable direction as to make options potentially profitable. Likewise, it is important to screen options so as to determine which options have sufficient volatility and/or movement in a reasonably predictible direction. And in the case of options, one should select an option with a strike price which offers the optimum return on investment over those for other strike prices.
